MixComm today announced the appointment of Mike Noonen as CEO. Noonen joins the leadership team that includes MixComm’s CTO and Co-Founder Dr. Harish Krishnaswamy, Co-Founder and VP of Engineering Frank Lane and VP of RF Technology Dr. Arun Natarajan.
Noonen brings to the role years of proven experience building semiconductor companies and successfully introducing new technologies.
“MixComm is extremely excited to welcome Mike Noonen as our new CEO”, said Dr. Harish Krishnaswamy, MixComm CTO and co-founder.
Most recently Noonen was SVP, Global Sales, Marketing and Business Development at Rambus. Mr. Noonen has held executive positions at Silego Technology (acquired by Dialog Semiconductor), Ambiq Micro, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, NXP, National Semiconductor, and Cisco Systems. In 2013 he was elected to the Global Semiconductor Alliance board of directors. Noonen started his career as an applications engineer teaching mixed-signal IC design.
Throughout his career, he has been very deeply involved with semiconductor entrepreneurs as he was the Chairman and co-founder of Silicon Catalyst, the world’s first semiconductor incubator based in Silicon Valley. Silicon Catalyst won the 2015 EE Times/EDN “Start-up of the Year” Ace Award.
“I am thrilled to join the MixComm team. MixComm brings together groundbreaking architecture, advanced design and experienced management to fulfill the promise and potential of millimeter-Wave for 5G applications”, said Mike Noonen. “It is also a privilege to work with Kairos Ventures, an extremely supportive and engaging partner.”
“MixComm is extremely excited to welcome Mike Noonen as our new CEO”, said Dr. Harish Krishnaswamy, MixComm CTO and co-founder. “We have had a long-standing relationship with Mike as a Strategic Advisor, and have been extremely impressed by both the breadth and depth of his knowledge and experience – from analog, RF and millimeter-wave to digital, from large multi-national company to early-stage startup, and from fabless semiconductor company to foundry.”
“Kairos Ventures is excited to have Mike taking over the leadership of MixComm at this critical time. We appreciate the dedication and exceptional efforts of Harish and the current team to put the company in such a strong position,” said Dr. Travis Blake, the Kairos Principal for Physical Sciences and MixComm Board Member. “We have the highest expectations for the future of MixComm.”
